The Evidence for Nutrition in Palliative Care is a Course
Full course description
Nutritional therapy is an integral component of providing a whole-person model of care to improve quality of life within the palliative care setting. By understanding how a state of health can be promoted through evidence-based nutritional support, palliative care clinicians can better assess and address diseases and conditions that palliative care patients commonly experience. In this course, an overview of essential nutrition concepts is combined with specific evidence-based guidance regarding the role of diet and lifestyle choices in optimizing disease prevention, treatment, and quality of life for patients who are receiving palliative care.
